Hi,
I'm having a small problem with the wireless network on my hacked SA Series 2 (24004A). I have a few basic hacks (tivotools), ftp and telnet are running fine and the network works great for about 3-5 days at a time... then it just 'falls off' and I get "wireless network not found" and signal is at zero. When its working network signal is at about 70-85%.
The unit is a modded with 2-120 Maxtor drives and I've got SW 7.2.2 running on it. My network adapter is a Linksys WUSB11. I have the firewall disabled to allow the internal (LAN) access (/etc/netfilter-disable); but this seems like more of a driver issue to me. I’m not setting anything up for the network via a hack… I did the network setup with the guided tour and set IP (static) rather than using DHCP.
When it’s working, it works great… It’s just not stable for any length of time. I saw this when I was on 7.2.1 also, just not as often.
Has anybody seen anything similar to this? Any idea on where to look or how to fix this? I searched around here and at 'another' site, but I didn't see anything similar to this... I just HATE intermittent problems like this!
