If I have a few Dtivos hacked for HMO and MRV and on my network , will they be recognized if my wife adds a Tivo with TTG on the network?
Would I be able to transfer from Dtivo to Tivo and then use TTG to transfer files to my PC?
I know I could transfer files with etivo and mfs etc.., but my wife would like to use TTG and tivo and I would like to know if they can both coexist on same network and transfer files between them?
Thanks

If I have a few Dtivos hacked for HMO and MRV and on my network , will they be recognized if my wife adds a Tivo with TTG on the network?Yes, if the SA is hacked and superpatched, but be aware that TTG is 5-10 times slower (http://archive2.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=3012141&highlight=TTG#post3012141) than other extraction methods (for example, mfs_ftp, tytool). Also, naturally, your SA tivo will have to be subscribed.

Thanks for the reply,
I was trying to make my wifes life a little easier, but if it is that much slower it doesn't pay.
May be you could help me with the following:
I have 2 Dtivo that I hacked and installed MRV, Superpatch Mfs-ftp Telnet etc.. they are running software 4.01b
I recently got a Dtivo that seems to be running software 6.02. The unit was PTVupgraded to 6.02 The dtivo shows up on my network but
1) there is no way for me to change the network settings
2) No way to change the name
but most importantly , I do not think it is running Mfs-ftp. Is it possible that it does not need mfs-ftp? it seems to be able to transfer files from 1 dtivo to this one .can it do that without mfs? I need mfs for it to work with etivo.
If it is not running mfs_ftp do I install it the same way I installed it in my 4.01b?
Thanks in advance

mfs_ftp has nothing to do with MRV. They are two separate things.
For your new 6.2 DTivo, go get the latest superpatch, which includes a script to change the name. Also, search the forums for netconfig.tcl which will allow you to adjust your network settings.
Finally, mfs_ftp is installed mostly the same, except you need to edit it and comment out the "event send" lines.

2) No way to change the nameSounds like this is a pre-hacked box you didn't hack yourself? You might want to start over from scratch with a fresh image if that's the case so you know how it is hacked.
Superpatch-67all includes a script to set the MRV name for the box. There's a script, netconfig.tcl, for setting the network parameters. You can't get to the network configuration screens on a 6.2. box, even after superpatching.but most importantly , I do not think it is running Mfs-ftp. If it is not running mfs_ftp do I install it the same way I installed it in my 4.01b?There are some differences. See the 6.2 upgrade thread.
