I have a S1 Phillips with a cachecard and before the 3.5 upgrade I was using unscramble.o to decrypt my recordings.
After the 3.5 kernel was installed on my machine I had to re-install everything with tivoflash. Since I could not find a version of unscramble.o for 3.5 I went through this thread and applied the offset to the tivoapp. Everything appears to be working however I have a question regarding the existing recordings on my machine.
When I run the ciphercheck.tcl script here is what I get:
bash-2.02# ciphercheck.tcl
CipherCheck.tcl by AlphaWolf_HK
TyStream encryption is currently disabled
Here is the status of your current record
Encrypted CSO Set Stream Name
--------- ------- -----------------------
Yes Yes The Simpsons
Yes Yes Albino Alligator
Yes Yes Modern Marvels
Yes Yes The Simpsons
Yes Yes MythBusters
Yes Yes The War at Home
Yes Yes The Simpsons
Yes Yes Nova
Yes Yes Deadliest Catch
When I run csoscout.tcl it runs with no error messages.
When I run ciphercheck.tcl again the output is the same.
It is my understanding that anything from here on out will not be scrambled when it is recorded and I should be able to extract using tyserver or whatever. I was able to confirm this later this evening after several recordings where recorded and they showed up as not encrypted.
However my question is how do I get at the shows that were already on the unit so I can decrypt and extract them. It seems like I need a new version of unscramble.o ?
If this has already been addressed I must have missed it, please point me in the right direction.
