My son set up my Tivo directly to my PC. There is no television access at all. I am able to use Desktop to schedule, download, and watch on my PC monitor and then delete from my PC. Before this change, I used the "don't delete" function on several programs. Without a TV, I don't know of any way to clear my TiVo disk. Of course, new recordings will age off after awhile, but I would like to be able to clear it myself. Ideas, suggestions? Consider in your answer that I have just learned to spell PC and had to copy the spelling of TiVo off the front of the machine.

Sounds like this is an unhacked tivo, and given your skills, hacking it is not really an option.
TiVo Desktop provides a way to schedule recordings? News to me, though I never use TiVoDesktop. Are you sure you aren't using online schedules at tivo.com or tv.yahoo.com?
It sounds to me like your best bet is to get a tv card for your PC. This will give you a way to get at the tivo user interface from your computer (basically, using it as a tv). Here (http://www.tv-cards.com/faq.php)'s some general info. Hopefully your son can help you get it set up.
