Tivoserver questions

I have just setup the Tivoserver at home and went to try it out. I can see the Tivoserver DVR option in my Now Playing but get the "your not subscribed" error.
I am currently running a sleepered 4.0.1b w/superpatch. I don't have the latest image and the wife-o-meter is good at the momment, so I didn't want mess around with the DTivo.

Is it possible to get Tivoserver working with 4.0.1b? I noticed that there is a MRV rename tool but it is for 67, I believe. Wasn't sure if that would work.

Any thoughts?

Are you allowing your superpatched DTivo to phone home? If so, that's your problem. You need to re-superpatch and disconnect the phone line.

I haven't plugged the phone in since it's been hacked. I can re-superpatch it though to check

The "not subscribed" message, I believe, usually means that the Tivo somehow has gotten MAK keys assigned. That happens by phoning home (either over phone or internet). If there's no phone line attached, how are you blocking calls via the internet to the mothership? The typical approach is to add a couple of static routes for the Tivo subnets and point 'em at 127.0.0.1 but I don't know what sleeper does.

And wife or no, you should consider unsleepering and upgrading to 6.2. You'll be glad you did.

good point. possibly it's talking home via ethernet instead of phone.
is there a site to download the image? I have vacation coming up soon. Maybe it is time to un-Sleeper the DTivo.

6.2 image or 6.2 slices?

if you want an image to start fresh (6.2.dtivo.minimal.AlphaWolf_HK.zip), theres a link with good download speeds here:

I ran the MRV name script and it worked. My Tivoserver is crashing in mid-transfer, but I will research that part.
