I was running a properly hacked (kill'd) RCA RID Series 2 Direct TV unit for over a year. The hard drive crashed, unfortunately. It was a 120GB. I bought a 300GB drive, setup, booted to a confirmed (free ptvupgrade disk) LBA48 Boot CD-Rom, at 342 hours. I restored the 62small.mfs image. When I powered up the tivo, the green system error screen lights up. I also tried a 62hacked.img from my other tivo (also 120GB drive), which failed.
I then repeated the process using a non-LBA48 Boot Cd-Rom, and the 62hacked.img file, at 147 hours. That fired up just fine.
Is there something in the image file that relates to LBA48, and is causing the issue? Any direction, to threads, or otherwise, would be helpful...
