Hi all...

I recently made a backup of my original DirecTivo 40gb hard drive on to
a larger 80gb hard drive. The drive boots up fine and works just like
the original.
I went to attempt to install the PTVNet hack to enable the HMO and MRV
but as you go through and select the settings you want to use an
error message for each flag appears saying "NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY" This appears for every option.
If I use the InstantCake image it works fine. I thought the instantCake
was just a backup of an original Directivo drive but apparently there is
some difference.

Any suggestions on how I can make this work? Am I missing something?
I used MFStools2.0 to make the backup.

You should ask ptvupgrade.com to support ptvnet; most of us here haven't used it and don't know what it does or how it works.

I was looking at that stuff the other day and I read something on the ptvupgrade site about having to run it on the mfsrestore'd disk. Look in the PTVupgrade forum under PTvnet official support and you will see some messages about it.

ptvupgrade.com isn't really big on supporting their software. I did go
through the forums and didn't find what I was looking for. I probably
could have spent a little more time looking but I had been looking up a
lot of other tivo stuff that night and the tedium of reading through all
the posts was starting to get to me. I'll go back and see if I can find
something now that my head is a little more clear.

By the way, anyone know where to get a replacement prom for a
DirecTivo R10? I got one for free and would like to try and network it
to my already hacked HDVR2.

As always your help is always greatly appreciated.
