I have switched from DTivo to HDDVR with the local cable company.......( they get the actual locals in HD ) I have been doing some reading and saw that someone mentioned DVR uses a FAT32 file system. Was wondering if that is so could I use Ghost to upgade to a larger drive. If not does anyone know if there is a way to upgade the drive size?

This forum concentrates on TiVo boxes. You will first need to identify what brand and model DVR box you have (they are not all the same) and then find a place where those boxes are discussed.

I was reading a thread about the R-15 DVR with numerous replies............I had hoped that others might offer me some good input............The unit is made by Motorola.......its from Comcast and has not model number on it. It is a Dual Tuner HD DVR. If anyone knows of another web site I would be more then happy to check it out.

I sincerely doubt that your DVR uses a FAT32 filesystem. There is a limitation of 2GB for maximum file sizes with FAT32. HD files are generally much larger than 2GB, making a FAT32 filesystem impractical for use with DVRs.

Just going by what they wrote in the thread on the R-15. I personally have not idea and wouldn't know where to start to find out without risking data. All I want to do is increase the size of the hard drive.......I don't care about hacking. Is there a software we use for Tivos that might work for a DVR?

And the R-15 does not use standard FAT32, by the way.
