Hi
I bought a DSR6000 from a garage sale with a broken hard drive. I replaced that, but what is the newest software I can load on it. I got a hold of a copy of extreme 2.5 and, I think, and the Kraven upgarde to 3.1. Do I need anything else besides that? I already have a newer Tivo on my DirecTV account and a working card from the receiver this will replace.

Since you're starting from scratch. I would recommend installing 3.5; it's the latest and greatest. Search for the thread in the series 1 forums, as it has the information you need (along with emule image links, kernels, etc.).

I searched through this forum, since I think this is the only D1 forum there is on here (besides the development one), but I didn't see what you are talking about. Is the 3.5 one you talked about the official Tivo image, or a Xtreme type one? The only hacks I really need are the no phone call one and maybe the one that allows the shows to be saved unencrypted. Most of the emule things I saw were just the slices that allow the 3.1 to be upgraded. Thanks

Is the 3.5 one you talked about the official Tivo image, or a Xtreme type one? It's the latest official release of Software for S1 DTivo units. Use the search button for the forums and search on "3.5-01-1-011". You should find the thread you want. Search through that thread, and you shall find a post by Alphawolf in which he provides an emule link to a tiny mfs image for 3.5.

ThanksYou can upgrade 3.1 to 3.5 if you so choose (you can find the slices to do so in that same thread), but the fresh install will be easier. If all you want is the the no phone and no CSO, then that thread should have most everything you need. If my memory serves, the no phone should just be fakecall.tcl and the CSO should just be a tivoapp patch.

Thanks. I believe I found it. It's sitting in the eMule queue as queued, so hopefully I'll be able to download it.
The file name says gxcebot. That will work also on my Philips box?
