What is the largest drive/fastest drive/brand that I can use with the HR10-250 as a replacement drive for the original?

Does the impending software upgrade make a difference or is it controlled by the bios on the system board?

Wrong forum -- this is for the HR20. But no, the Tivo software version doesn't matter, and you can use the largest PATA IDE drive you can find. Don't worry about speed -- won't matter.

Actually I would like and answer to the question. What is the largest disk/Volume(RAID striped or other) the HR20 can access via eSATA. Does the DVR file system support 48 bit LBA? This is required to address more than 2TB. While we are on eSATA support do we know if tagged queuing is supported?
