My 130040 series 2 has lost network connectivity. I was playing around with TivoWebPlus and think I've probably screwed up the Tivo's configuration. I don't remember exactly what I did as the problem only showed up after a restart several days later. I seem to remember something to do with 2.0 drivers.

The Tivo now doesn't believe there's an ethernet adaptor attached. I tried connecting the adaptor to another Tivo and it works fine. I should be able to get serial bash and I don't mind pulling the drive if necessary but how do I go about investigating things from here?

This thread over here (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50911) has your answer. It worked for me. Basic story is your /dev/null probably got hosed and you need to recreate it. Skip the bit about copying it or linking to it (those won't work) and just follow the directions on recreating it. Here's my summary of what worked for me.
