Can a hacked Series2 DirecTivo share video (MRV) with a standalone Tivo? If so, under what circumstances?

If they're both series 2 Tivos and have been hacked with the superpatch, then yes, I believe they can share videos via MRV. The only caveat is that any videos recorded on the DTivo with Dolby Digital audio will not play back on the standalone model.

I have a SA2 DTiVo and and Sony S1 SA. Does that mean there is no way to use MRV to share recordings between the 2? Can you load MRV on a S1 SA? Is there anyway short of extracting the recordings to share them?
Thanks

MRV doesn't work on S1 Tivos. A while back Sanderton wrote some mods for mfs_ftp to do a sort of pseudo-MRV, but it doesn't work with S2 units running 4.x or greater as it requires sendkey.
