Recently went to 6.3a on my H10-250. Local network is working as well as internet using netconfig.tcl to configure. I can telnet into box, ping internal and external addresses, etc.. However, the daily call fails. What could it be? Is there still a dial prefix of ,#401 required? Any mod to rc.sysinit that maybe I've overlooked?
Thanks,
TheSaint

Yes, ,#401 is still required, but why are you trying to make a daily call anyway?

Just going through things that used to work. What really is the danger if you set updatesoftware=false? What does fakecall accomplish for you? In other words, what are we trying to keep from happening?

With 6.2 on an SD DTiVo, a daily call will reset the MRV name so MRV no longer will work. At some point, there may be hacks done to the HR10-250, that will be reset after phoning in.
BTW, I did not have to set the ,#401 dialing prefix on my HR10 before or after upgrading to 6.3(a) from 3.1.5f, but you do need to change the DEBUG_BOARD value to true if you haven't already.

That's what I was trying to remember! The DEBUG_BOARD property.
Thanks!
