hr10-250 and calls via network

With a hacked hr10-250 (upgradesoftware=false) and at 6.3a with the debug options enabled... is there any reason why i wouldn't want to have the unit making its daily calls?

ie,... i could run fakecall, but why? The unit makes its calls via the network with no problem... (does tivo see your hacks and put you on a shit list etc)

any comments/thoughts welcome.
