The 19th is just about over and I have still not received the 6.3a upgrade. I contacted D* via email and they swore I would have it by the 19th. Now they are giving me a bunch of BS that my phone line must not be plugged in or my calls aren't completed but they are. I've upgraded my hacked drive but want my stock drive upgraded for backup.
Anybody else here that has not received the upgrade?

Since D* told me I would have the upgrade by the 19th, I contacted tech support and they told me to disable call waiting in order to get the upgrade. Well, DUH, I don't have call waiting so they told me that it was a Tivo problem since they are doing the upgrade not D*.
What a croc of S*it that is! If I didn't have so much invested in D* I'd dump them tomorrow,,,,

Well no...I think they are right because if your tivo is working the way it is supposed to, it definitely should have gotten the upgrade at least stored in /SwSystem by now if it hasn't already applied it. There is something wrong with it.

FWIW I just allowed another tivo with a fresh image to grab the update, and it worked fine.

After 3 or 4 emails back and forth with D* Tech Support and threatening to switch to FIOS, I got a call last night from a Tech from D* and was assured I would have the upgrade shortly. Lo and behold I checked this morning and there it was --- upgraded to 6.3a.
Don't know if this was just a coincidence or D* actually did something.
I guess the old squeeky wheel got some attention. Now I can put back in the hacked drive, copy the new drive and then put it on the shelf for safe keeping.

I still don't have slices.:(
I assume that most folks here do not have any phone line attached to their Tivo. Somehow everybody seems to be receiving their slices over the sat.
I realize there are several different ways to obtain the slices, but question really is-should I have received the slices over the sat?
FWIW:
Have been having problems with getting the Hr10-250 set up...not all satellites being detected etc... Made many forced calls. No update.
Finally, rewired switch; got 101, 110, 119, 72.5 all detected; forced call; Instant "pending restart" and 6.3a.
Could be a coincidence, but for those that have not gotten the upgrade, it might be a factor.

I manually upgrade to 6.3 by pulling the drives, but i didnt preserve hacks. every day my unit calls in and gets "pending restart" but after reboot, its still 6.3 not 6.3a. any ideas?

Do you still have a bootpage with the option set upgradesoftware=false ?
