My fathers S2 hard drive died. I can no longer find images for this box but I do have a 14060 myself. Can I use an image crate from this model on a 240040?

Most of the system software (including tivoapp) should be the same, but the kernel might be slightly different. One of the main minimal but important differences of the TCD140 is the slower USB ports.
I'm guessing the TCD140 image will probably work on a TCD240 unit.
Just go download emule and get it from the p2p network. There are several out there for that box.

TiVo combined the two software starting 7.2.2 I think it was and both models get 140x software so it will work but if your 140060 software is too old, it might not support a hard drive size greater than 137GB. I think 7.1 and later had the lba48 (greater than 137GB) support.
