The Linux CD you booted from did not have LBA48 support, so you maxed out at 137GB. At this point you may have to start over with a fresh image and expand that.

get the free lba48 DVRupgrade CD at dvrupgrade.c**. That should be all you need. You can still use your current image.

The LBA48 should allow full use of the drive without additional switches (so same instructions you followed before). You probably would want to upgrade from 3.x to 6.2 for some of the added features such as HMO/MRV. The version numbers are misleading as 6.x is actually one upgrade from 3.x on the directivo series. The 4.x and 5.x were for standalones. It's not that difficult to perform the upgrade. It's up to you to decide whether or not those features are worth it to you. As for staying on version 3.x, if it ain't broke, why fix? If you like the way the product is now, there's no harm in keeping older software. Just realize there might be old bugs (slow menus, system hangs, etc.) and you may not have the latest and greatest (folders, HMO/MRV, new bugs, system hangs for new reasons, etc.).

You will have to rehack. Upgrading from 3.1.1x to 6.2 was discussed extensively over a year ago. Start here. (http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42325)
