mfs_ftp inserts trashing "Now Playing List"

I recently took the upgrade on my Series 2 SA, 24004A to 8.1. Ever since, mfs_ftp inserts cause the "Now Playing List" to go blank after the point that the transferred show should be listed. I can't play the inserted show because the list is blanked out at that point. The program shows up in TivoWeb, but is in a perpetual
record state. A reboot will fix the Now Playing List, but the inserted program is no longer there. Anyone ever heard of this?

I'm running mfs_ftp 1.2.9p with the series 2 mips.

I hate to answer my own question, but I think i found the answer. Seems to have fixed the "Now Playing List" bug.

It seems DRM was the cause of MFS_FTP transfer to 8.1 issues. Attached here is a patch file to which should fix it. Just put the attached file in the main MFS_FTP directory and it should create the proper DRM objects when sending a video to the tivo via MFS_FTP.

As to why it does not even start up for you, I am not sure, maybe you need to encorperate some of the other patches within this thread. I know my install has at least 2 patches, now 3. or perhaps your MFS tools need updating. the MFS_FTP does have a few of the MFS_tools in it, maybe they need to be updated. I know it will indeed work for 8.1, I have it working now.
