Simple enough (or so I thought!).
I have a series 1 TiVO (I'm in the UK, so I can't use series 2 or 3 :-( - unless you know better!)
I have a number of divx files (.avi) some films some series.
I tried to use ffmpeg to convert them to .ty / .tmf then ftp them upto my TiVO.
I can ftp then easily enough. But the converting seemed hit and miss, some would convert easily, some wouldn't (especially UK episodes - relevant?)
Is there something better I should be using?
