playback over internet crashed media player

I have my dsr7000 working with vserver. At first i got it working on my local internet. I have also been able to log in successfully on my LAN using my isp's ip address using port 8080. On my local network, after about 10 seconds i get video on wmp. I have successfully been able to log into tivowebplus remotely but when i click to view a show, media player opens it says connecting and then after about 10 seconds media player closes.

Wow 25 reads and no one has any advice for me?

I have searched this topic and found a couple of threads with the same experience and all of them had no replies.

Can anyone confirm that Vserver is capable of streaming over the net using WMP or any other player?

I dunno, but check the uptime and the logs and see if the Tivo is rebooting. It sounds like you've possibly opened the Tivo up to a lot of outside traffic, and the they don't usually handle loads of spurious traffic well.

my tivo (DSR 7000) isnt rebooting. right after WMP closes, i can still go back to my tivoweb page and everything still works fine. I checked the info screen and the uptime looks good.
