Transfer --> Delete --> Never Record Again

Hi,

I'm trying to get every episode possible of a specific series, but don't have room on the Tivo to get them all at once.

So after I get say 20, I'm transferring those 20 off of the Tivo, then deleting them to free up space to record more.

Is there a way to flag those episodes to never record again?

Or even trick the Tivo into thinking they're still on there (so they don't record again) but still free up the space? Like uploading a 1 MB file with the same info?

You can try using tychopper and cutting the first 90+ percent off and re-inserting it.

The XML I beleive is at the end and still be there. And the XML will state a full recording.

Proabbly will work.

.....I use a Tivoweb module called Tracker to handle this task. You can find it here (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141201). A couple of caveats to be aware of:
1. It doesn't work with TWP 2.x.
2. It's only semi-automatic. You have to periodically pull up a ToDo-list screen where the episodes to be cancelled are checked for you. You then press the Delete button to execute. (Sort of an "are-you-sure" feature.)
