View Full Version : TivoWebPlus V1.2.1 upgrade to 1.3.1 question

Currently my copy of TWP is working properly. Id like to upgrade it to version 1.3.1 that was released in November. I can't find any information on the website http://tivowebplus.sourceforge.net/ regarding an upgrade.

What is the best way to proceed? Should I try to remove my current copy of TWP and install fresh?

Just upload the new files to the Tivo and extract them. They'll overwrite the existing files. You may need to rename the TivoWebPlus directory. I believe the original TWP directory name is in lower case whereas the 1.3.1 version uses initial caps.

I think I have some history built into my install. My current TWP directory is

/var/loca/tivoweb-tcl/

Can you help me figure out how my current copy of TWP is starting? I've searched through /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit and /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit.author and see no mention of it. When I run a PS from the bash prompt it lists "tivosh /var/local/tivoweb-tcl/httpd-tt.tcl" as the task name.

Id like to stop this copy from loading, install the new version in a better location and then once working properly remove the old version.
