View Full Version : no 6.3c - wrong reconrding times - freaking out

I have 2 HR10-250's, one got the 6.3c update, one did not. The one that got it is fine. For the other, I uploaded the 6.3c tivoapp and hoped for the best. Now as I look at the recording times they are all an ohour off. It is displaying the correct time though. What can I do to fix this. Are the 6.3c slices avaialbe on p2p anywhere?

Yes, kinda freaking out.

You freaked me out. I hacked mine in that way, and all my Season Pass times are right.

Do you accidentally go the wrong way?

I don't have any timed recordings.

I am looking at the "ToDo" list in TWP - I will go confirm manually. To make sure I have the right 6.3c tivoapp, where did you d/l it?

If you have a box that got the 6.3c slices, you can extract them this way. I was looking at the Tivo.

Sometimes I am a bit dense. I have t 6.3c box right here. I will transfer that tivoapp over and see what happens.

FYI, I noted this morning that in TWP 2.0, my recording show as starting an hour before they should. But on the TiVo itself, they are fine. Not sure what's up w/TWP.

The DST change will not affect any recordings you have set up as season passes if you have not updated the software to the latest version. The times shown in the guide data will be wrong for the next three weeks until the normal start date of DST but it will not affect the recording time for the shows. You will only have problems if you attempt to set up a manual recording, unless you compensate for the hour offset from the guide vs. actual time.

I don't use TWP, but there is some code in mfs_ftp (tzoffset.tcl) that calculates the timezone offset. The comments say it was taken from TWP. Eyeballing it, it looks like it will fail due to the DST change.

That was it - TWP was just displaying the wrong info. The Tivo itself seems to be fine. Time will tell.

It will be right in a month or so, for a while. :)
