I tried to upgrade from 6.2 to 6.2a by slices; not positive what happened, but I suspect I put in the wrong kernel. Regardless, all of my hacks were wiped.
I re-hacked it, with the right kernel this time, but for some reason when it came back up, netfilter-enable and netfilter-disable were completely gone from /etc . I tried it anyway: networking is now unworking (my router sees the Tivo, but I can't telnet or ftp in).
I'd copy it from my /hda7 partition, but I compounded the error by doing a
dd if=/vmlinux.px of=/dev/hda7
DOH!
Anyone have a copy of netfilter I can borrow? Or an idea of how to get around this? Should be as easy as ftp'ing the /etc/netfilter-disable file and posting it here, if you'd be so kind. :) Please?
