I have a Philips DSR 704 that I upgraded years ago to a 120GB drive. I followed David Dellanave's upgrade guide (http://www.dellanave.com/projects/tivo/62slices.html) and my new root should be /dev/hda7. After the upgrade my Tivo just continues to reboot. I had used the sleeper 1.02 cd to monte years before, do I have to load killhdinitrd or re-monte somehow? Also at the bash prompt I get "What is password?" and it is not "factory". Thanks for any help.

How do I set my Bootpage back and then flip the bootpage?

The short answer is you're probably screwed. The two partition monte used by TiVoScripts (AKA Sleeper's ISO) confused installSw, and it tried to put files into the wrong partition.

Can't I converting from a sleeper monte to killhdinitrd at this point? From this thread http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showpost.php?p=189548&postcount=5

You miss the point. You could have converted from monte to killhdinitrd BEFORE running the upgrade. Because a dual partition monte was active, the upgrade placed files in unusual partitions.
As I see it, you have three choices: 1. Get the writer of the procedure to help you clean up the mess. 2. Restore an image (AlphaWolf's minimal 6.2 image is available on eMule) and get on with your life. 3. Spend several days trying to straighten everything out, give up, and restore an image to the drive.
Several people have tried to do step 3. 1 out of 4 succeeded.

OK, sorry I'm new to this. I'm restoring AlphaWolf's image and get "Restore failed: Error fixing volume list."
Using mfsrestore -s 127 -bzpi /dos/62small.mfs /dev/hda
