I have been trying to get the FTP working with my DirecTivo HR10-250 but to no success. I had the older OS (3.1.5e) but now did the upgrade to 6.2c and can not get FTP to work. I can telnet and TivoWebPlus works just fine. I have tried Smart FTP and get the error:
"No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
I then tried FTP Commander and while it tries to connect I get the error:
"Connecting to 192.168.1.199 , 25 Mar 2007 20:51:07
500 Connection refused (Winsock error #10061)"
I have also disabled my Norton Anti Virus and Firewall and am using XP and have disabled its firewall.
I then tried to connect to my Tivo from another PC in my home and get the same error. Looks like the problem is with my Tivo itself. I checked out some threads here and found that maybe I need to disable the HR10's firewall, is there anything else that might be a problem?
