I have hacked my Directv Tivo and I am running version 1.2.1 of the TivoWebPlus Interface. I see that there is a newer version out there 1.3.1. I followed the instructions to install it and I was able to access it by going to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080. Is there anyway to upgrade the 1.2.1 version to the new version so that it is the default version?

Also, how do you setup the new version to autostart? I got it running but the minute I closed out of putty, it shutdown. I am new to all this and would appreciate any help.

I am getting ready to hack my second Directv Tivo. Is the WeetHet instructions still the best?

To answer your last question, in my opinion, the Weethet instructions cause more problems than they are worth. I suggest checking out the 'guides' sticky thread, also in the Newbie Forum.

To answer the next to last question, you add a command to start it in rc.sysinit.author.

I have looks in the guides sticky under the newbie forum and there looks to be a bunch of different options. Which is the best for a series 2 Directv Box? I used the Weethet instrctions for my first one and it appears to work fine, what sort of problems can it cause. Thanks,
