I've been having a 'ell of a time making a disc of the Man vs Wild shows.
First pass there were some issues with my ty files where DVD lab wouldn't want to work with them at all. I recaptured all shows and started over.
Where I'm at:
DVD Lab Pro 2 2.3:
Won't allow the files to be muxed, compiler.aux (or a secondary error complaining about the stream compatibility) and bails out. I've been wanting to use this version because it's the only version (well, that I OWN) and can allow multiple VTSes, I wanted each show in a unique VTS. I don't like the one huge VTS_0_X.VOB fileset.
DVD Lab Studion 3.0.0.170:
DVD Lab 1.31 :
Creates the vob files correctly, but playing back is a different story. First show all chapter points are fine. Second show a couple chapters are there, but all other chapters on the disc are gone. There's only 6 chapters per episode, so I don't think the 99 chapter limit is a problem.
Now, DVD Lab isn't designed for DVD9 and I understand that, but the other two should work fine.
Anyone have any advice on what I'm doing wrong? I've made lots of DVD5 DVDs and never had problems like this (except for maybe invalid streams once or twice). This isn't my frist DVD9 project and I've had no problems with DVD9 projects before. But, this is my first DVD9 disc sourced with ty sources.
Here's my process:
Tytools 10r4 to d/l, edit, vob mux, create DVD/IFO fileset for each of the shows. The last step of creating the DVD/IFO fileset appears to be needed to clean up some of the problems with the vobmuxed file.
Import the vob from the output of the create DVD/IFO process into dvdlab, demuxing the stream.
Rewrite GOP time code (or not tired both ways same results).
Add movie, chapters and then compile.
I've worked with each show a different project to be sure there aren't any show specific problems. Everything works fine on single show projects.
When I author a DVD9 disc the process is the same, the result isn't. Chapters are lost. I've tried what I can think of to resolve the problems, but I'm now stuck. TIA
