Hi,

Has anyone successfully inserted a "home brewed" HD program into an HR10-250? By "home brewed" I mean, for example, video shot with an HD camcorder; or content produced in HD resolution with something like Adobe Premiere or After Effects.

If so, care to share your method? In particular:

1. Are there any MPG2 video restrictions that are non-obvious? I.e., I would guess that the Tivo would play the standard HD resolutions: 1920 x 1080i @ 60000/1001 fields per second; 1280x720p at 60000/1001 frames per second. Are there bitrate, GOP length, etc., limitations I should know about?

2. Same question on audio. I assume the Tivo wants AC3 (2.0, 5.1, etc.) audio for HD content. Any bitrate or other restrictions I should know about?

3. What did you use to "prep" the HD video for insertion; i.e., what did you use to convert from an MPEG Program Stream to a TiVo- legal .ty (.tmf) file? -- ffmpeg? other? Care to share your command line? And version number?

4. What's the preferred method of insertion for an HR10 that's (still) running 3.1.5f? I've got TyTool and mfs_ftp working fine for extraction, but have never tried insertion.

Thanks,
WB
