I've read a number of posts and need some direction if anyone could help. I have an series 2 Hughes tivo with pvnet 6.2 installed. I have successfully used tytools to pull recordings off, cut commercials, and convert to mpeg or vob. In all my cases I've done this for tv shows like standoff, heroes, and football games. I now have an hd dvr so I only record shows for my kids on the series 2. I want to pull off and put the cartoons on dvd. When I try to make the key file I get the error "Failed to get the first 10 initial chunks". In reading some post I see people pointing towards a scramble issue but I am able to get other TV shows working. Can someone offer any suggestions to look for or options to try? Thanks in advanced

That error message is definitely an encryption issue. Assuming these weren't shows that were recorded prior to unscrambling (which would still be scrambled), is it possible you received a software update and ruined your hacks? Check what s/w version you are running, either from the system info screen or with: echo mls /SwSystem | tivoshfrom the command line. Also, get 'ciphercheck' from AlphaWolf's All-In-One utilities which will show the current state of your encryption including all your recordings.
