Is there a way to make Tivo Desktop sort my MP3's by tag info? It always lists songs alphabetically, even on playlists.
One possible workaround I thought of was to use JavaHMO instead of Tivo Desktop. Problem is, to list the music how I want to requires me to edit the XML file and then the application (if I make changes) modifies that file and I have to re-edit. In addition, the photo plug in seems to be weak with higher resolution files. I've seen the red X instead of my picture even when the thumbnail displays fine.
I would rather not use Tivo Desktop for photos and JavaHMO for music. I'm using 2.3a - none of the newer versions worked on my HDVR2 (DTivo) units. If there is some sort of hack then I could ditch JavaHMO. [I am sure everyone is bored with the "can you make Galleon work on my Dtivo" question by now... I've already accepted the answer I didn't want to hear which is "no".]
So, back to the original question, can Tivo Desktop be made to list the music sorted by ID tags so that the tracks would be in the right order?
