Help w/JavaHMO and R10 DTiVo

I have my R10 networked and I'm able to telnet to it. I installed the JavaHMO 2.4. I go to the Music and Photo menu and enter the IP address of the PC i.e. the server running JavaHmo. However, when I select the IP address, it indicates there is no server. Can anybody help get this setup. Thanks for you time.

I set up the properties an dadded a plugin. There is nothing else to say start or stop. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, which I don't understand.

Which OS are you running? If it's Windows (XP and Vista) you've got to be careful about what Java version you're using. You need:

JavaHMO 2.4
j2re-1_4_2_05-windows-i586-p.exe
jai-1_1_2-lib-windows-i586

You may have other versions of Java installed, but they all install in different directories so you should be ok. Next, poke these holes in your firewall:

UDP 2190
TCP 8081

Under properties in JavaHMO, make sure the port is 8081 and "Tivo Beacon" is checked. You can clear the "IP address" and "Netmask" fields, if everything is set up correctly those should be found automatically anyway. Finally, there are updated versions of the Movies and Weather plugins; you should track those down and overwrite the ones in the JavaHMO\plugins folder.

Thanks to all the replies. I noticed that I had the IP Address and Netmask blank in the JavHMO Server Properties. Once I added them, things worked.

djl - Thanks for the headsup on the plugins. I did notice that they were not working. The photos worked fine.
