Backdoors????

Could someone tell me what enabling the "backdoors" using the superpatch-67all-NutKase-1.2 do on the 6.1 or 6.2 DTivo?

Enabling backdoors allows you to enter special codes using your remote to activate extra functions on the Tivo, such as the 30-second skip. You don't need backdoors on to enable 30-second skip, but there are other useful things it does, such as add information to the system info screen.
