View Full Version : Hacked DTivo Guide?

Does anyone know if there is a hacked Program Guide for 6.2? I have a DTivo DSR708 and the program guide is nice but its font/text is so tiny. You nearly have to be up at the TV to read the description... Any info on changing/altering the guide would be very helpful.

The problem lies somewhere between the DirecTiVo and the sofa. I've got a 15" TV connected to the DirecTiVo in my den. I can easily read the descriptions from 10' away - well beyond normal viewing distance.

Possible causes: Using the RF output instead of the composite outputs.

Poor focus / brightness / contrast settings on the TV

Dust on TV screen / glare from lights or windows

And Have you had your eyes checked lately? Maybe you need (new?) glasses.

rotfl.. i can see perfectly well, it has nothing to do with glare nor does it have anything to do with my screen size. the FONT SIZE is very tiny. sure from 10' away i see it fine, even 20'.. the problem is its SMALL TEXT not blury, not faded, not glared.. just small.. easier to understand?

No you can't!!! I was born before the Korean War; I've worn glasses for more than 50 years. From more 10 feet away from my 15" TV (well beyond normal viewing distance) I can easily read the program description. If you can't, the problem is somewhere between the DirecTiVo and your ass. :)

You're wrong again. Ya see.. I know what its like on my screen and you dont. The TV i'm connected to is a 32" CRT and i know wether the font is too small or not. the guide fills almost the entire screen, with very tiny blocks with very tiny fonts. once again thanks for your comment though they do make me feel good that you care so much to disagree with what i'm saying.

There is two EPG layout in the dTivo.. is both too small?

Both Guide options have very small text. i mean its really small, i'll use my cam and take a pic tonight so you can see what i mean. its just frustrating.
