Hello,
Here are a couple of more questions, hopefully somebody may respond.
- I have 3 tivo's(540/230/240 series each). I just want the capability to rename programs in hackable tivo's(230/240). I understand the 540 needs a prom change, but that is way beyond my capability. I am perfectly happy with MRV/pyTivo for my transfer needs. With that being said, once I do the killhdinitrd hack, what are the apps/tools that I will need to achieve my goal. I have read up on tivoapp, tyserver, tivowebplus ms_ftp, but none of them tell me whether I can rename programs.
Can somebody clarify this one for me?
- Using tivoapp/tyserver/tivowebplus does allow me to transfer content/back & forth, but once I use this, I cannot use MRV between my 540 series tivo and my other 2 tivos.
That being said, what are the inherent advantages to using the above mentioned tools/apps over the tivo provided solution(other than it costing me whatever it did for my Roxio Toast in my Mac/Visualhub on my Mac?.
I understand the more sophisticated management of season passes and the like, but my question is only relevant to the transfer of content between my tivo's/mac/pc.
