ahhh panic! please help if possible.

Hello everyone, I have not been around in a long long time now because since I upgraded my dtivo's from original to hmo 4.0? (I cant even remember all the lingo...) Everything is working wonderful but with the hmo package I used you could not use locals. Well that was never an issue for us because we got NBC east west...Well it has been over a year since then and I forgot all about the locals not working. Well we have really been wanting to watch our local college team play but they only broadcast it on the local channels so in all my wisdom I call dtv and tell them to switch me to locals....Now lol I dont have nbc at all LOL (locals no worky with hmo!) could anyone please help me figure out how to get locals working on this thing?!? The game is this Saturday and if I dont have it working the wife is kicking me to the curb LOL
by the way the dtivo I have is not the r10 or whatever they are...it is the older model. rca 40gig (upgraded to 120)

Where do your locals come from? If you have 2 dishes, then they're from the 72 sat, which would require 6.2 software or higher. Be careful adding locals if you have distant network feeds, directv WILL shut them off on you if you add locals.

Thanks for the reply, yes I have a second dish.
I have since fixed my problem though by purchasing a image from dvrupgrade.com and reinstalling my dtivo's with the image. Kinda funny also because once I got them all working I called dtv and asked them to turn locals on and get rid of the east west channels. They turned on my locals and they now work but I also still have east and west channels?! WooT LOL.
So all is good now. I just need to get the usb ports working again and a few other things and I am good to go :D
