HR10-250 question

I have recently upgraded (sighs... non-tivo) , and I have all my saved shows on my tivo

I read the FAQS , and so hopefully my question isnt already answered...

I would like to get FTP on my Tivo , so I can copy videos to a PC , and I don't see an ethernet port (USB method I suppose?)

My question basicly is , does the HDD have to start from scratch? I wouldn't mind starting from scratch to have it modded , but I atleast want my shows off it first

Also the Tivo<->Xbox thing seems neat , any working site with info on that?

No, you don't have to start from scratch. You will need a USB network adapter. I suggest you start reading the sticky topics in the Newbie forum section, and then look at the Extraction section.

Note that extracting existing shows, recorded before you make the mods, is harder, as you have to individually remove the encryption from them first.

Well I guess I'll have to grab me a network adapter and get my old P3 setup eventually
