what to do with a box?

Ok so my parents got a new tv and thus switched to hd. they went with a comcast box :eek::rolleyes: And we are going to cancel our month to month subscription. What can i do with the box? is there a way i can make it receive updates from a free online guide or change the tsn?

Without a sub, there's not much you can do with it. Watch pre-recorded shows, scrap or sell the box. The isn't the right forum to discuss "theft of service" hacks.
