Can I use one of the new DTV slimline dishes with an HR10-250 receiver.

I am trying to go directly from one of the LNB ports on the dish directly to the SAT1 in port on the receiver.
I have set the skew and elevation for my area but can't get any signal.

Can I use the same AcuTrac 22 Perfect 10 Satfinder that I use for Dishnet?

Yes. Of course, you won't get any of the new HD channels. I did something similar - used an RCA DRD420 to help aim a slimline dish. As far as the Satfinder; is it supposed to work for DirecTV?

I'm not getting any signal for 101W so was wondering if the slimline had a special built in switch that would only work with the newer HD receivers.

Nope. I have an HR10, HR20 and HR21 all sharing a slimline dish. The HR10 will, of course, treat it as a 3-sat dish. The Slimline does have a multiswitch that can get the 99 and 103 sats with the MPEG4 receivers, but that's not an issue.
