Good deal.;) I always said they'd be a great buy once they dropped below the $200 mark. Now I fully expect to see the 750GB models edge towards the $100 mark. 500GB models have already dropped below that price but I would expect them to level out around $79-89. 250GB models seem to have stuck around $59-69. I expect there's a baseline price that can't reduce the cost of manufacturing a drive below a set limit since they all pretty much have variations of the same components and circuitry, although I have seen new 80GB drives for as low as $40. The latest perpendicular recording technology allows for greater density so it's mainly just a matter of installing new platters with heads and controller cards that are compatible, at least that's my best guess.
