Series 1 and Upgrade TV

Hello,

I have a series one and love it! I am running a 13 year old projection TV and I am going to buy a 42 or 46 LCD TV. Will the picture look the same, better or worse. I know that DTV had HD channels, but I would think the Tivo is a bottleneck.

I just do not want to make a mistake and have a crappier picture.

My Series 1 works great with my 27' TV but the picture is pretty crappy with my 52' TV. Just moving to a Series 2 makes a big difference.

Same answer as I gave to your question at TCF - many HDTVs do a poor job of displaying standard-def content from composite or S-Video. I have seen many complaints over the years about this. You will probably be unhappy with the picture.

Well, I bought a 46" Sanyo and it is not as bad as I thought. I guess later on when I upgrade, It will be even better. Now I cannot wait until my Xbox comes back from repair :)
