View Full Version : Goofy Guide Data?

Something really odd going on here...I have 2 DSR-704s, and on both of them Season Passes are showing no episodes upcoming, even though I know there are....so I do a search for the show, and there are 2 entries in the search list...one lists episodes, one does not...so I create new Season pass fromthe entry that has episodes and shows are now showing up in the new Season Passes Ive created, so now I have two SPs for the same show, one with episodes (The new SP), and one with no episodes (The original SP).

For example, I record Stargate-SG1 on Sci-Fi....My SP for it was empty...no shows listed...I did a search for it, and made a new SP for it, and a bunch of episodes where listed in it...so in my NPL, I had 2 SPs for it, one with episodes and one without...

After getting an episode in the new SPL, I compared the series info from Tivoweb, and this is what shows up:

Here is the info listed in Tivoweb for the series from that SP with no episodes:

Object: 6766
Version 151
ServerId ATSH225421
ServerVersion 0
Genre 384 107 105 124
ThumbData 268632831
Title {Stargate SG-1}
TmsId SH225421
IndexPath /Server/ATSH225421:4:0:0

Info of series with episodes:

Object: 1604898
Version 4
ServerId {ASER-Stargate SG-1|}
ServerVersion 0
Genre 384 107 105 124
Title {Stargate SG-1}
ThumbData 268632831
IndexPath {/Server/ASER-Stargate SG-1|:4:0:0}

Very odd...anyone else see anything like this in your guide?

I have the same symptoms as you. I saw a post on tivocommunity.com from 2007 that it was related to enhanced guide data being added by DTV. I wonder if they are doing that again? I just Zippered my failing Tivo so I was afraid it was related to that, but maybe not.

Have you found that re-adding the SP manually has fixed the recording problem 100% of the time? I'll try that tonight, see if it makes a difference.

The 2007 guide data issue was supposedly fixed in v 6.2a

I think this guide data issue is a different issue. I have not seen any reports of this problem on v6.4a (current ver.). Problem reports have all been on something older. I have seen this issue myself on 6.1a and 6.2a.

The Show ID for many shows has changed. There's not much to do other than bite the bullet and create new season passes that catch th new shows. There's currently no expectation that the old show id will appear again, but nobody can be sure, so it's up to you on whether you want to delete the old season passes once you've created the news ones.

Apparently anyone with 6.4 or later doesn't see this problem.

Yep, after more forum reading, I found that info too. See here at tivocommunity (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=404601) Recreated all the SP last night, hopefully that fixes it.

Here (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=404379) is a TivoWebPlus module that will recreate your season passes that affected by this.
