Multi-hack installer for S1 DTiVo?

I've got an old Philips DSR-6000 that I plan to use in my office (have two HDVR2's in other rooms). The drive died so I'm going to install the latest Instantcake image to a new drive for TiVo OS v3.5 and go with it. I have a TurboNet card installed as well.

I realize that there aren't the same kind of hacks that provide as much functionality as hacks for S2 units...but what is out there, and what can I do with this older S1 unit? Also, is there a multi-hack installer (think Zipper or SApper) for the S1 that will automate things like making symlinks, moving files around, changing init files, and so on while installing?

Once upon a time there were two such programs for the S1's (i.e. xupgrade with xPlusZ and also Tivolator) but it's never been updated for the latest versions. The hacks they contained are mostly outdated and wouldn't work with the latest OS versions.

That being said, you obviously didn't read the documentation for the programs you mentioned because if you had you never would have mentioned them here per the authors' request.:rolleyes:

Shame about there not being an updated version of these things...at this point, I'm not really even sure WHAT will work on the old S1s, besides TivoWebPlus.

And, yes, I read the docs and request. I had to fight for a while to figure out how to mention them w/o mentioning them. Then I realized that I wasn't asking for help with those programs, only using them for comparison's sake, and said WTF... :D
