as someone else mentioned streaming from netflix is now avail. but they expect you to sign up or sign up for a trial without even being able to browse what movies they have available.. also does anyone know what the quality/video audio properties of the downloaded movies are or where to get a complete list of what is avail..

1. You can view the list of "watch instantly" videos on the website. Besides, whats so bad about a free trial?!
2. The video is solely dependent on your connection.
SD is at 375, 500, 1000, and 1500kbps
HD is at 2600 or 3800kbps
Both HD and SD is at 24FPS for film and 30FPS for video
Audio is currently only available in two channel mode.
3. The titles are not downloaded. They are streamed.

Currently there are about ~13,000 titles available. ~300 of those are in HD. You can get unlimited Netflix on Tivo for as little as 8.99 a month which also includes unlimited DVD rentals (only on DVD at a time though).
