I am SO upset over my GEVALIA Coffeepot! It is the CARAFE type. I was really excited to get this one! Supposed to keep my coffee HOT for up to 6 hours! NOT!! After 1 hour it is very , very warm. 2 hours and it is tepid, 3 and it is ICED COFFEE! I have emailed them 2 times and sent a snail mail over 3 weeks ago. NO answer on anything! Has anyone else had this problem? I have even filled the carafe with HOT water for over an hour BEFORE adding the coffee. Still won't keep it hot! So SAD!! :(

Suggestions? Can't toss it! Guess I could give it to my EX-Mother-In-Law!! At least the Carafe has the decency to wait 3 hrs before going COLD!! LOL  ;)

I haven't had your problem with the carafe but if you paid for the order by credit card you should stop payment.

I suggest telephoning the 800 number on the invoice, give them your name and order number with an explanation of the problem.

Ask for a replacement because at this time of year, e-mails are certainly going to get lost in the shuffle of last minute orders.

I've often telephoned companies and I'm always careful to get the name of the person I am speaking to about the problem and the office location in case the person doesn't follow through.

Usually companies try to resolve the problem.

And when they don't, go to the CEO or President of the company because you always get a response.

Thank you for replying! Unfortunately I did NOT use a CC when I ordered the coffeepot! I will give the company a call today though. That was a great piece of advice. Should have done that 1st instead of emailing them. As much coffee as I have bought from them they should deliver me a new coffeepot in person!! lol Thank you again.........:)

Good luck! I'm sure it'll work out fine for you but keep in mind, it *may* take a one or two calls especially at this time of year.

There's an art to complaining and if it's done right, you can usually get a very positive result from companies. I've had products replaced and non-refundable airline tickets refunded by going to the head of the company so it really can pay to follow-up.

It's great coffee and no wonder you're disappointed that you can't brew it!

Hope you get that replacement soon!
