Adjusting recording quality

I have read in other TiVo documentation that there are 3 different TiVo record quality settings (low, medium, and high). The higher the quality, the greater the disk space required.

Searching on this forum, I saw a posting that said the DSR6000 DirecTiVo always records in high quality. Has this been verified? I sure couldn't find any settings on my receiver ...

The DirecTiVos copy the stream as received from the satellite - there are no encoders on them. Thus the quality is dependent on the quality that the channel was encoded in.
