First thing I want to say is many thanks to TR_J, Surgeon and Bubba J for all their help in getting me up and running with my new Tivo.
Now that I have a 108 hour tivo unit I find myself recording all kinds of things which is creating a little bit inconvience, and I was wondering if there might be another option.
Here are my questions:
First, when you go to look at your recorded programs it shows your recording by the date that they were recorded, is there any way to change that to sort by program title instead?
Second, I like to record college basketball games played on the ESPN full court package, but the default program guide length is 6 hrs for a game which is way to long. With my "wish list" set up to record every Kansas Basketball game it records about 2 hrs of the game and 4 hours of nothing and this is going to eat up my recording time. I see where you can extend the amount of time that a program is recorded past the time it ends according to the program guide, but you cant do that to stop recording prior to the end of the program guide end time. I know that I can set it up to record the program by channel and time (like a VCR), but that kind of defeats the advantages of the TIVO. Is there anyway that I can get Tivo to auto record these games and not waste my Hard Drive space recording the extra time?
Third, is there anywhere that I can go to find out how much recording time I have remaining on my unit? I see where it tells me how much total time I have, but not how much time I have remaning.
These are minior inconviences, and other then that I thing my DTivo is the best part of my system and that is in large part due to all the efforts of the members of this board..... Many Thanks!!
