Hi all!!

I have a rather ODD tuner problem that I am trying to resolve.

I bought a used T-60 off eBay, used 25xtreme for T60 to upgrade to 2.5. Now that dual tuners are enabled, I am seeing a problem on some transponders. These are NOT the spot beam transponders, so that is not the issue.

On some transponders that I should get fine (ex. 2,7,9,19,21) when I go to satellite setup I see a good signal (90+) on tuner 1, but NO signal on tuner 2. I switched cables, same problem, so it's not the LNB or the wiring. All other DSS boxes in the house work fine.

Any ideas? Could it have been something in the xtreme upgrade? I re-ran satellite setup, same problem.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks!!

Makes me wonder why it was for sale on Ebay?

try redoing extreme, if that doesn't do it, then it isn't software related, let us know.. maybe we can figure something out.

I bought a DSR6000 off of EBAY and there was no satellite sound from the RCA outputs - even though there was still sound effects audio. It turns out that one of the 2 D/A converters was MISSING! I don't think they run quality control on these thing before they leave the factory.

Can you explain how the cables run from the tivo to the dish? It sounds like a wiring error.

BubbaJ - No joy on the re-image. Same symtpom.

In order to eliminate wiring and LNB problems, I have run the outputs from the dual LNB DIRECTLY to tuner #1 and tuner#2. I have eliminated wiring or LNB issues by swapping the cables back and forth between the tuners and observing results (tuner 1 shows 90+, tuner 2 shows 0) reguardless of which cable is where.

I'm thinking that MUST be a hardware problem. Anyone where to get Tivo parts, or anyone who would repair a unit that has been tinkered with??

Thanks for the conitnued help everyone!!
