Which image download for Philips. Please help

My Philips 312 is acting up and I want to scrap the two internal drives and just install a single Maxtor 80gb drive. If I was to (and this is strictly hypothetical because that would be copyright infringement) download an image from, say, Cyberdude's FTP sight, which one would I download? Since there will now be only 1 drive instead of 2 would I want to get the software from a different model or would it not matter? Is it that simple and is that what is actully posted on said server, or would I still need to get the original software from someplace else? Please help and thanks!

from what I've read you definatly need to stick with a phillips image I would say try to get one for a 312 even though I think you can use one from a 112 or 212 the best thing to do if the drives arn't shot is to try and get a back up of those.If thats not possible use the first suggestion
