Thanks to everyone for the great docs and the GT60 image. It worked like a charm. As soon as I touched it up everythingn came to life.
I have one things left; locals. I have done several searches and not come up with what I am looking for. If you are using xtreme25 do you need to follow the whole process for adding locals, or is there a trick to it like with Touch?
If someone can help with some instructions or a better idea of what to search for that would be great.
Thanks,

First off this is not my work, non of it! Most of these directions can be found in the How To's section. In fact I just modified what I found there to make my own directions, so if you ever get the chance thank Zoolan. He wrote what I modified
1) Download teraterm. You need this.
2) Using teraterm, get the bash prompt
3) Start your web browser and go to the dealdatabase.com site.
4) Take the mvch file from this thread - http://dealdatabase.com/forum/showt...=&threadid=5367
5) unzip it, but DO NOT open the files. IF you do, you need to run dos2unix on them.
6) On the Tivo Bash, type: cd / <enter> <--This means press the enter key
7) On the Tivo Bash, type: cd /var/hack <enter>
8) Then type: dir <enter>. You should see some files go by, amoung them will be joe. This will just show you that you are in the correct directory.
9) At the Tivo Bash, type: rz <enter>. That tells the tivo to expect a file.
10) Then, on the Teraterm window, go to 'file', then 'transfer', then 'zmodem'. It will bring up a box looking for what file to send. Pick Channels.dat from the directory where you unzipped the file.
11) Do steps 9 and 10 three times, and send all of the files you unzipped earlier (channels.dat, mvchannels.tcl, and another one).
Now, we have all the tools we need to watch local channels on a DirectTivo.
12) Now joe channels.dat
At the beginning of this the coding is explained. Place a "#" in front of every channel you don't want. This is important. How many NBC stations do you really want?
If you want the channels to map from the 900's to the 10's like SF22 then the last number should be changed. The options are listed in the first part of the document. When you are all done hit "control k" then "x" this will save the document. Be conservative, you can always add channels later.
13) At the bash prompt, type: chmod +x mvchannels.tcl <enter>. This makes the tcl file executable.
13) Type at the bash prompt: ./mvchannels.tcl reload <enter>. This clears everything. You need to run this! You may get a bunch of errors saying 'channel not found'. Ignore them and wait for it to finish (took a few minutes on mine). It may seem like the program is hanging up, just be patient it will finish.
14) To activate the local channels, type at the bash prompt: ./mvchannels.tcl -file=/var/hack/channels.dat <enter>. A bunch of stuff will scroll by, and it take a little bit to get the prompt back. As soon as it starts running, you can start going through the guide and the channels will show up.
These directions differ in three major ways. I did not add mine to rc.sysinit as it is not needed. The channels survive a hard boot. And I recommend not just running the channels.dat file without modifying it. Just my preferance, but God what a lot of locals. And third I modified the execute line, when run with the loop comand as stated mine went into an endless loop. Had to reboot to stop it. I reimaged my hard drive and made the above mods, and really liked the result. Anyway this advise is free and you get what you pay for so good luck.
